VALLARTA NAYARIT GASTRONÓMICA: 10 YEARS OF GIVING FLAVOR TO LIFE
Vallarta celebrates 100 years of its foundation and Riviera Nayarit reaches its tenth anniversary. Along with them, there is also the “Vallarta-Nayarit Gastronómica” training festival, one of the most important events in the culinary field in Latin America and International. This event, which was born as a national re-positioning project in the tourism sector, has contributed for 10 years to increase professional development and quality of service in the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta region, thanks to the management of the theoretical concept-practice that seeks to solve the real needs of professionals in the field.
This year, under the slogan “Mexico, thank you for so much!” Will include a congress, dinner pairing, demo classes, tastings and more within the program. The date will be from October 14 to 18 at the Hard Rock Vallarta Hotel, located in Riviera Nayarit, where it will be attended by around 50 international and national chefs. It is worth mentioning that some of them have been awarded important titles, including 14 Michelin Stars and 18 Repsol Suns, which ensures an unprecedented event full of experience and prestige.
The delegation has the outstanding Spanish chefs: Ángel León, of the Restaurant Aponiente, Adonis Luis Aduriz, of the Restaurant Mugaritz (which occupies the position number 9 in the ranking The World`s 50 Best Restaurants); Kiko Moya, from L’Escaleta Restaurant; Diego Guerrero, from the Dstage Restaurant; Kisco García, from Restaurante Choco and Diego Gallegos, from Restaurante Sollo. It is important to mention 3 Mexican chefs who have achieved a Michelin star, who will also participate in the event: Carlos Gaytán, from Restaurante Mexique; Paco Mendéz, from Restaurante Hoja Santa and Roberto Ruiz, from Punto MX.
COUNTRY AND INVITED STATES
According to the custom, Spain will be the guest country of honor, Chihuahua will be one of the states invited to the event, where Sotol will offer burritos, in addition to the presence of chefs Óscar Herrera, of Hacienda Flor Nogal, and Óscar Cortazár, from La Cocinería. Another of the invited states will be Guanajuato, presenting his cooks Consuelo Venancio and Virginia González, as well as David Quevedo and Bricio
Domínguez. Guadalajara will serve as a guest city, presenting the chefs who lead the gastronomic movement in it: Fernanda Covarrubias of La Postrería, Fabián Delgado of Pal Real, Darren Walsh of Casa de Piedra, Ernesto Hernández of Grupo I Latina and Francisco Ruano of Alcalde.
A tribute will be paid to Susana Palazuelos, an expert in banquets with national and international recognition for her excellence in the quality of her cuisine, which will present a conference in conjunction with her son Eduardo Palazuelos.
LOCAL CUISINE AND DRINKS
Chef Betty Vázquez, gastronomic ambassador of Nayarit and jury of Master Chef Mexico, will delight the palate of the attendees, in addition to the chef Joel Ornelas of the Tintoque Restaurant, which will offer the closing dinner pairing. Also present will be Memo Wulff from Barrio Bistro
Restaurant, Alex Gómez, from Jardín Nebulosa (located in San Sebastian del Oeste); Irving Cano, sous chef at Hard Rock Vallarta Hotel; José Alfredo Jiménez, from Grupo Marival; as well as Raúl Altamirano and Santiago Pérez from the Sheraton Hotel.
