  • 1st of June: Navy Day

Great military parade by the sea in the Historic Port of San Blas, Rincon de Guayabitos and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, to commemorate the praiseworthy work of the armed bodies that protect and safeguard all mexicans.

It is one of the most anticipated dates because boats of different sizes sail in the sea and it is a great opportunity to see them up close.

Navy Day was celebrated for the first time in 1942, to honor the crews of different ships that were attacked by German submarines during the World War II.

One of the flagship events of Riviera Nayarit, is the San Blas International Sport Fishing Tournament which in its 58th edition promises to bring more emotions and great moments for lovers of fishing in the deep sea. If you like fishing you can appreciate this sport that attracts year after year the most experienced participants.

  • June 22 – July 1: Optimist North American Championship 2018

It is one of the seven continental championships around the world in the Optimist Vela class, which has the support of the Mexican Sailing Federation (FMV) and is endorsed by the IODA and the World Sailing Federation.

This year 180 competitors from 25 countries will be participating in this important championship.

  • June 29: Battle of Santos in Mexcaltitán

One of the most representative traditional ceremonies is the feast of the patron saints San Pedro and San Pablo of the Island of Mexcaltitán, cradle of Mexicanness, where a pilgrimage is made, emulating the Mexicas or Aztecs, who left Aztlán to found the Great Tenochtitlan.
